Reflective Statement

My stopmotion idea was very interesting. First, I didn't have any idea of what I was going to do. Then, the teacher helped me decide what to do, she suggested me that I could do something with some sticks that she had. In my storyboard I only put six steps, based on what I was going to do, and my animation came out to be like I wanted it to be, despite my project was destroyed. The hardest challenges for me is making the structure be able to stand, and making the helicopter fly out of the animation. What I did to keep the structure from falling was to make it equally balanced from both sides by making it symmetrical, and I attached the helicopter to a stick and moved it upwards to make it look like it is flying. Making this project was not very easy because it tok a lot of time, and it got destroyed; still, I enjoyed doing it. If there was something I would change was taking the pictures from the same spot so it would look better, and I would take more time in doing it, since I had to hurry. If I had the option to work on this as an adult I would think about it, first I would see if I like another thing, and if not, I would try to look at this job. It seems fun, and original. It takes a lot of time to do it, and many epople are being succesful with this, and are gaining a lot of money with this. All in all, stopmotion is a very interesting, original, and fun process.

Technology

I think that this school in the video uses to much technology. They have their devices almost all of the time when being in school. This is too much exageration, most of the people in this school use technology. They all have their iphones, blckberrys, laptops, and more. Not only that but, when they are home they are also using their devices or consoles. For this reason, there are many people who have bad grades. Some people get very distracted and don't do their homework. As you can see, they use too much technology when they have the opportunity.

ASPV should teach students more about technology. Although students use a lot of technology in our school, they need to learn a little bit about it. Us, students don't do beneficial things in the internet, we are actually not using internet the correct way. People use the social network more than anything. This is why teachers should inform us about internet. There are many uses for it, and it would be interesting for us to find out. We could edit pictures, videos, and more. Teachers have the equipment to do this, and they should. All in all, ASPV neeeds people to learn the uses of this great system.

Technology is very important in our lives. But, people do misuse internet. There are people who use it excessively, threre are others that use it frequently and others that have used it once or twice in their life, without counting in school programs. There are even people who don't know internet exists! This is wrong, people need to use internet, though not in a bad way. Internet can be used to watch videos, communicate, buy things, travel, meet people and many millions of other things. This is why epole need to use it. Sometimes it will be necessary in their lives. Inconclusion, Internet is not bad for us, sometimes it is necessaty for us.

Medium Selection

It was very hard for me to be able to choose my medium. First, I was going to do one drawing, but I thought about another idea. Miss Firsty helped me choose a medium. She suggested me to use some sticks, and I came up with the idea of making a building with the sticks. I think that I will raise a stick each photo and then continue to make the building. In the end I will make a helicopter land on the roof of the building. The hardest thing of this medium is making the structure of the building. As you can see, my method is very interesting, but can be very challenging.

Stop Motion

Stop motion is a very creative way to make a clip or movie. In my words, stop motion is the process of making a clip or video by taking a picture to each scene you make, and then putting all the pictures together. The effect these videos make on people is being amazed, many people find these types of videos very fun. People create these types of videos for it to be interesting, and for the viewer to get entertained in a different way. I think that the creator of the video would have to go through various steps. First, they would start a scene and take a picture, then they would slightly change the scene and take a another picture, after repeating this process for a long time the creator would finish his video. All in all, making a stop motion video is very imaginative, but takes a lot of time.

William Kentridge

William Kendridge has very interesting work. His work makes me feel amazed. He makes everything moves smoothly. I love the effects he puts in each one of the movements. Also, he makes every image clear, and you can understand wht he is making. Because of this it would be very easy to explain his work to someone who is blind. He uses swift movements to create avery image. Then, he takes a picture to every image he creates. As you can see not only his work is good, but it is easy to describe.

His process for making his video takes a lot of time. First he has to start his original image, takes a picture, erases a little draws a little, takes another picture, erases a little draws a little and so on. Sometimes he has to change the whole backround and its characters. For this reason it tackes a lot of time to be a ble to finish a video. There are many pictures to make a part of the video. As you can see, this process takes a lot of time to make.

Mash-up

A mash-up is a when two or more songs are mixed together to make a new one. So far, I've heard only a few mash-ups but the most frequent one is a gym class hero and fall out boy mash up. This mash-up makes rhymes for people in a song. Good mash-ups are made with good rhythms and beats, they have to be well made. Some are not good because the beats are off, some are loud, and difficult. Here is a site for mashup tips, it contains 22 tips for making it. Mash-up artists are musicians, because they need to listen to the beats, put them together and make a good song. One of the ones I've heard is dj earworm. Mash-ups are very good songs.

Chrome

I am going to try to plate objects in chrome. I thing it is going to be a little hard, but if I follow the instructions I think I'll be able to do it. I like how the image changes to metal-like. I will make a bulb but out of metal. The way I would do this would be by following the tutorials in www.worth1000.com. One of the tutorials is the chrome one, and the other one is the rain tutorial. The chrome tutorial would be used to make the metal bulb. The other tutorial of the rain would be for the light. My artifact would help in some ways. It would still illuminate, but it wouldn't be fragile. If you would drop it, it wouldn't break, it wouldn't bend or anything, it would be like new. People wouldn't worry about breaking their bulbs. This is a great idea for a bulb from the future.

Family Reunion

Family reunions are awesome in my family. We do a lot of them since we have a lot of family members. Also, we celebrate birthdays, festivals, and just random things. This vacations I went to a family reunion in my grandfather's old house, which is now a school. We had a lot of fun there, we played on one of the fields many sports. Also, we got to dive from the high roof of the school into the pool, it was really high, you could drink a glass of water in the air. That family reunion was awesome, I love family reuinions since we make fun stuff, and I have many cousins, and even 6 or more nephews. My family reunions have been really entertaining so far.

Frames

I have two frames in my project. I chose them because they have an interesting aspect. I am using one for women, and one for men.

Tree

There are many reasons why I chose this tree. This tree is very unique. I chose it because it has a warm aspect. I love the red color, and I like warm places. It reminds me of trips I have had. Like when I am drinking hot chocolate in a cold place. It reminds me of my family a lot. Also, of trips I have had.

"JOY"

This is a paragraph about the "Joy" I have. These vacations I jumped from a very high place to a pool. It was about 5 meters or higher it was very fun, since I was with all my cousins and we did tricks in the air. What I would like to do for myself, now that I think about it, is to get taller by being very healthy and doing lots of exercise. Something that makes me very special is my humor, I love to make jokes. I also always do pranks and get waht people say. I am a very "JOY"ful person.

MAP Testing

On October I wrote about what I felt about MAP testing. I still feel the same about them, they help us in school, because teachers don't leave us homework. Still, they make you get REALLY bored, since I take a lot of time to finish them. I felt happy about the tests I took this past week. I beat my score for more than 7 points, though, it was hard. The only thing I would change about how I do the tests, is not getting distracted, and taking less time doing them. Map testings are evaluations that I dislike in some ways, but that I like in some ways.

Presentations

In class I saw 4 presentations of students in my group. I noticed that some put animations. Therefore, that would be something I would change in my presentation, I'd put animations. Also, I saw some presentations were longer, for this reason, I'd make my presentation longer. Last but not least, I'd add more information to each slide to talk more about the subject. I learned many things about doing presentations here in computer class. Studying before talking about a presentation will help a lot. The presentations my classmates made were very interesting.

PowerPoint

A year ago, our class used to do booktalks. Everyone had to make a PowerPoint presentation or dress up and talk about a book. When finally one of our students came up she started her presentation. She first talked about the characters (one slide for each) with more than 10 bullet points for each. In total she already had more than 5 presentations, one for each character and one for the title. after that she explained the summary with pictures and she made it almost for all the book. her presentation was longer than 20 minutes, everyone was bored and wanted her to end. Finally she finished her presentation with a conclusion. Long presentations were not entertaining when diong booktalks.

8th Grade Animation

The 8th grade rotoball project was impresive. I really liked how each of the students passed the ball. The clip I liked the most was Sebastian´s. This is because he made a backround of a war and he used the rotoball to make weapons which was awesome. I also liked how Adriana finished the animation throwing the ball to the screen and making an explosion. Still, everyone made a good job, and they were very creative. Finally, Rodrigo made a good job editing the video. He somehow connected the clips together so that they looked good. I hope the 8th graders make more projects, because they are nicely done. The project was very interesting and I enjoyed watching it.

There was once a priest who lived in a church. He loved to go exploring to places in the world. One time he had gone to a building in the middle of the city he lived in. There, he found a mysterious ring that had a strange kind of power. So he went on different quests to look for precious materials the ring would mark. In one of those quests he found a chest that had a lot gold in it.

Another day, he noticed the ring was making an unfaliar signal that marked that there was something close to him. He observed the ring and thought it was malfunctioning. So, he put the ring in the corner of the room. For more than 5 days he had ignored the ring and returned to his normal way of living. He had had a good time those days.

The next day, he saw the ring was turning into a reddish color. For this reason he grabbed it and studied. He noticed the ring was marking that there was something in his garden. He grabbed his magnifying glass and went on to look for the rare object. He discovered there was a strange creature in his bushes that was developing. He grabbed it and took care of him for the rest of his life. But suddenly one day...

Sixth Sense Technology

When I was watching this video, I was amazed. I was thinking of how people would use it in the future, and that it would be very useful. I would love to have one of these, because I could take a trip to some place, and take pictures whenever I want. I could also play, and get entertained everywhere I go. Finally, I could copy informatino of a paragraph or articles and save them. Having one of these awesome inventions would be awesome.

There are a big amount of great things about technology. Technology helps every person in the world. It helps them in work by investigating with it. It helps people to communicate. It also entertains everyone, technology is all around the world. Last but not least, it helps people to inform about things that happen in the world. Technology is a wonderful tool for people.

Open source is something free that can be changed. I have used Facebook, Moodle, Blogger and more. A pro is that it is free. A con is that people can modify it. Another con is that the information people can put cannot be correct. Finally a pro is that anyone can see it. Open source is very useful

Christmas Break

I did many fun things during my winter vacations. First, I went to Guadalajara to visit my family. While I was there my family made a dinner, in which we made a gift exchange. When it was our turn to give the gift, we didn't describe the person we were giving it to, instead we told a funny story about them, or something they did that helped someone a lot. After giving the gifts we had dinner. My dad and my uncle prepared onion soup and a rissotto for all of us. The food was delicious, everyone liked. Being in Guadalajara was something I really enjoyed.

Another fun thing I did was going to the beach in Puerto Vallarta. I had some family visiting my family here in Puerto Vallarta. They were staying in Playas Gemelas, which are apartments that are on the way to Conchas Chinas. Since it was december, the waves were really big (from 3 to 5 meters tall). My cousin, my brother and I was diving into the ocean, and they were throwing me into the waves so they would knock me down. When we got tired we decided to go to the pool. After an hour I left with my family to my house. The beach was awesome that day.

The last interesting thing I did in vacations was celebrating on Holiday Inn. First, when we arrived, I was talking with my friend. Pretty soon the band started to play songs. After about 30 minutes the food was being given. They served pumking soup, duck and beef medallions, and lastly raspberry mousse with chocolate cake. After eating everybody went to dance on the dance floor. The hotel distributed hats, necklaces, ballonds and all kinds of objects to clebrate and decorate. My cousins and I went to take some photos, doing tricks with cellphones. After some time the fireworks started, and Holiday Inn was the hotel that lasted the most throwing fireworks. The party was something unforgetable.
